About Near East University
Near East University, established in 1988 is a premier institution of higher learning located in Northern Cyprus. This university is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, research, and global outreach. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of study extensive undergraduate and postgraduate education opportunities to over 26 thousand students coming from over 100 countries.
The Near East University has 20 faculties comprising 220 departments and programs, 8 graduate schools with around 218 graduate and postgraduate programs, and 3 high schools, 28 research institutes.
The university has received accreditation from The Turkish Republic Higher Education Board (YÖK)” and “The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Board of Higher Education Planning Accreditation and Coordination Board (YÖDAK)” which has acceptance globally as academic qualification.

All international students upon admission to Near East University offers a variety of academic merit-based scholarships as tuition fee waiver to prospective students and current students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
Admissions into Tourism and hotel management receive 75% scholarship on tuition.
- 50% scholarship – All international students receive a 50% scholarship at Near East University (NEU)
- Academic Scholarship – Near East University (NEU) offer academic scholarships on academic merit to deserving students who achieve impressive results in all programs excluding the departments of Medicine and Dentistry.
The cost of education at Near East University is among the cheapest in the region, especially for the type of standards that they offer. NEU offers a quality education that is on par with the standards of its western counterparts at an affordable price for all students.

ACCOMMODATION ON-CAMPUS
NEU has many residence halls on campus that can accommodate over 6,000 domestic and international students.
Accommodation in North Cyprus' Near East University costs between €150 to €370 per month. However, students can find affordable accommodation off-campus. Preference is given to new students, but it is essential to book your room early. Near East University (NEU) offers fully furnished apartments with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom with utilities such as heating, wireless internet, and a student lounge for relaxation.
Students are allowed to cook their meals or opt to eat at any of the canteens or cafeterias across the campus.
